Inspiration

When a man fights from the brink of defeat and humiliation to prove himself again at the level he was revered, it shows a man of character. Sourav Ganguly has just done that, and it is indeed fascinating. I have always been a fan of the classy left hander, and his impeccable grace, let alone his mighty sixes. Let me draw on his inspiration and apply it to blogging, so that this blog doesnt go down the drain.

I remember starting this blog with a remark that this is just an online catalog of my life. I have never bothered about the number of comments in here, and I hope to stay that way. A lot has been happening the last few months that had kept me too busy to blog (aka lazy). For those viveks who exclaim "Figure a paathu friend a cut pannittan", it is just one side of the story. The last six months, I have worked harder than ever, inside my house. I have gained great appreciation on what my mother had done all these years, literally bone crunching tedious tiring exhasperating work. Worries were never my forte, and I do know the reason now. Your purest is in your thoughts, and my dearest friends were definitely part of it. My planning skills were put to a test and my communication skills suffered as a result. I do hope things will be back to normal, now that I know commitment means a lot.

For those eager souls, the last couple of weeks flew in a flash in India! My formal engagement ceremony inbetween made it quite hectic and enjoyable as well. Expectedly, it was a sweet shock for all my relatives. For the first time in my life, I had no clue what I am doing during that ceremony! I have always shied away from the spotlight, and it was quite flestering to be in the centre. For statistical purposes, this is the first ceremony that I have actually seen properly :P I have always been entrusted with looking after kids and playing with them during any of the family gatherings. Although a couple of kids were fighting over who wanted to sit on my lap, I did not have much of my "usual work" to do. Trust me, my sis and aunt didn't make it any better by making up all kinds of jokes. I did wonder how I am going to get through the marriage day sitting 5-6 hrs in the smoke. I get suffocated by even naptha, so I am quite concerned. A flurry of introductions on my in-laws' side interjected my thoughts, and before I knew it, there I was, engaged to the girl I fell head over heels for, 3 yrs back. I guess thats life!

Back to the present, days are going through at a snail's pace. Nothing much to do at work or home. Relaxing was never my strong point, so I am eager to latch on to the things I have missed the past few months, and enjoy the last few months of my bachelorhood. Reminiscencing, life has indeed come a full circle for me, and having seen both sides of the story, I definitely like this one :)

When time is wrong, miseries throng; When time is right, things look bright;
