Invisible Man
I have been curious about this for a while now..And curiosity kills the saggi. What makes people be in Invisible Mode in yahoo msgr? As a person who is perennially online, I am baffled by the lack of contemplation of this network of youth trying to remain anonymous to friends. The basic purpose of having a messenger is to keep in touch with friends. If the friends keep bugging you, Block and Delete. If you dont want friends to disturb you, Busy. If you are available to chat, Away. Then whats the use of being Invisible? I know guys from India still view internet as a fantasy world after 11pm (when there are no charges). But for the invisible guys and gals in the US and other places, what makes you really become invisible? If people want to contact you, they probably wouldnt as they think you are not available when all you are doing is getting bored on the other side surfing pages and sipping some coffee or beer. If you really only want to keep in touch only with your close friends, why add the rest in your messenger. And a curious comment by one of my invisible friends whom I happened to confront with this kostin recently. All my friends know I am invisible all the time..Then whats the point of being invisible??? It simply beats me in the mid summer's heat. And on hindsight, if people really want to bug u, they would probably bombard you even when u r invisible. And one of the few perennially online with over 150 in my list, I can vouch I dont get too much messages in my messenger in a day. I am online cos it allows my friends to locate me and talk to me whenever they feel like. If I want to talk to them, I do too. Full Stop. Can some invisible person explain their side of the story? Im waiting to hear that.

Whats goin on buddy?
Whats common between Motorola, HP, NCS and Siemens UK. These are the companies I rejected in the last 2-3 weeks. All this 6 working days before I am officially jobless!. Am I crazy? Am I lazy? Am I cracked? Am I bluffing? These are few pertinent kostins that might arise, but at the end of the day the reaction is just the same..What the hell...Others might map it to the classic "machan, she loved me da, but I rejetted her" kinda false self-praise. Quite possible, coming out of a batch where I would be one of the very few who dint lie to anyone about my grades in univ. Sometimes truth is trivialised to a point of nonsense and insanity that even the truth is shy to come out into the open. Anyone aware why rumours spread like wild fire while philosophy is mocked at? And me being me, I dont really let some things out...and I prefer silence, even in extreme anger or agony, to retaliation.
I aint gonna justify my honesty here, cos its my blog and I dun care a damn whether u believe it or not. I am just penning down my thots currently. A lot of ppl still dun believe ther is something other than money involved in the decisions people make. For me, career aim, job role n life comes before a job. In other words, I might be down the drain in my finances, but I wont make a decision until I know ejjatly what I need to do. And now, I dun have a job, I dun have a cent, but I am happy n confident cos I know what I want to do. Thats gud enuf for me...And for those who feel I have been losing a lot in the last coupla years and still do I wanna lose?... "Am I <>" (Spiderman 1 villian style)
I dun wanna dog fight cos I aint a dog
I dun wanna blog fight either cos I am too lazy to blog
I dun wanna slog cos my brain doesnt like to clog
I dun wanna say anymore but this aint a vail of a dead log

Window of Opportunity
We look out towards the sky and curse the sun for the sweltering heat in the day-time. In the night, if you chance to look up at the sky, not many will be left unfazed by the expanse signifying so much of stuff out there. Ever read about anyone getting ideas and expressing their feelings during mid-day? How many of those line up in ur mind which refer to the night time? Sky is always the limit only in the night! The vast stretches of sparkling stones remind us of our insignificance and the magnificence of the universe out there.
Now spare a thought for "Opportunity". How many people think of opportunities out there unless you are pressed for one? We do tend to curse the oppression of not having opportunities (just like the mid-day sun) but we only really put in the effort to grab an opportunity and think seriously about the innumerable opportunities around us when we are forced to do so (end of Std XI, last year of college, ur batchmates getting married, ur neighbours getting new cars n houses n so on). There are a zillion opportunities out ther, if only we stopped a second from our "busy schedule" to look at it. Else it will be just like the sky for a person sitting at home and watching tv.
People who stare at the sky can only become astronomers. People just redundantly going through every day of their lives can only find it in dictionaries and documentaries. We do try to generalise the opportunities. We also acknowledge their presence but do little to reap the benefits of going after one. After all, a comet is just a shooting star or a wishful star, if you get what I mean.
So why the title? Opportunity is just like a window. Only when the window gets diminished in size do we realise the importance of looking through that window. Some dont get to see things when they can, and curse the lack of it when they cant. Just like a person whose eyesight diminishes and blanks out, just like the horizon when the night lights up onto a new day, just like when your mother's health wanes, just like when your physique becomes fragile and weak, just like when you hear the last few words from your beloved before departing... Hope is the only thing that person has. Infact I feel the only people who "hope" are the people who dint grab the opportunities when it was abundant and realised them when they can no longer look through the window of opportunity.
Another thing is that people never look at opportunities they are not bothered about...Is ignorance really bliss in this case?
And I aint an exception. I am looking at my opportunities now....

For all those people who requested me, I have tried to collect all the poems I have with me (except the confidential ones sent to gals) and organise it at http://soopercrack-poetry.blogspot.com/
And for those people who despise it, atleast it will free up the space in this blog.
Happy poetic refreshing!

Trilemma...
Well, just thought abt the Tri-Lemma...
Tri means threeLemma means theorem
Here it goes...
Brahma-Vishnu-Shiva, the three Gods symbolising life in Hindu philosophy
Earth, Fire, Water are the only three of the five elements of nature that we can see
We need a tri-state switch to implement complex logic circuits
The basic of Quantum mechanics is that of a tri-state bit
Mind-Body-Limb are all needed to work together, to do something as a person
Directors-Management-Executive are all needed, to do something in a company
Sight-Hearing-Smell are the three senses we can use without interacting with anything physically (some will argue that even light sound are all physical, but I hope u get what I mean).
We need atleast three satellites around the world to talk constantly on our cell-phones, wherever we are.
The triangle is the smallest closed shape
Out of the 26 letters, only 9 (3*3) dont come immediately tri.... (h,i,j,q,r,w,x,y,z)- Notice that they are in sequences of 3,2,4....which again averages 3 per block for the 3 blocks...
Anything more than two is generally referred to as the third.... third party, third person
The earth is the third planet from the sun, the third of which is land and we breathe oxygen, which is a third of the remaining third.
Things should have atleast 3 points of contact to the earth for it to stand alone stable
The podium in ANY sport has only 3 places

Inspiration
This is one thing that I really need now. I am a lousy lazy bugger n blogger when I dont have inspiration...If I do have some, I am a creator, persevearer, Roger Federrer, yeah whatever....Now that I think of it, I really need someone to prompt me to do something. Else I am just non existent. Inspiration has come to me in various ways, from my dad at first, then my friends and then my gal...but nothing has ever lasted long enuf to satiate my apetite for success. It will glow for a week or probably a fortnight, but then just like the phase of the moon, it fades n dwindles off before waxing again, given yet another boost or a kick in the back. No wonder people say BEHIND every successful man is a woman. I am very punctual in jotting down the list of things I need to do and planning meticulously about how to do it. But when it comes to implementation, the Indian Govt will itself have to learn a thing or two from me. Most often, it only ends up in procastination and finally ends up as an imagination. Even with respect to my profession, its the same. There is a start, but no fitting succession. Even my poetic skills have died down a bit due to lack of proper inspiration. I never think of something and write. The topic just flows into me as words...(yeah, rhyming). Now, I am just staring at a vacant screen, my mind hollowed out of any useful material thoughts. I need Inspiration. Give it to me baby!

Groan for Bridgestone, Misery for Ferrari
mailto:$%$^%@$^%$&$&$%*@&$%*&^@$&@T^Y$%^&$%@^$@%^$%&$%&$%&@%$&@%$&%$@@&%$&%$&@&%$&%$&%$&%$&@$%&@$&@&$%^%*^&($$@^%^#Q$&%$^*@^$%*@$&%^$%*^&*%$*^*^&^(&*(*&)(*^$%^%^*^%^%(&*^^$^$^
If that can translate into any kinda curse, thats probably the one to use for the tyres on pliers....waiting for the opportune moment to cut through...yeah, Bridgestone... Screw 'em for all the misery they have given the Champion...Schumi starts 8th - up into 3rd gunning for 2nd before his tyres gunned....and back in 8th after a pit stop, another blows up the next lap... And Barrichello charges across the field with a 1 stop strategy forced to settle out of the points...That makes it 2 races out of 5 with Ferrari out of the points...Hasnt happened in the last decade! The pain in the hearts of the fans seeing a glimmer of hope shreded by the frustrating erosion of rubber is too great to pen. With the FIA hurting Ferrari where it hurts most, with Bridgestone supplying wheels of satin, Ferrari is staring down the drain with respect to the Championship. They can forget it and concentrate on next year...so that they can atleast introduce their new "the best car yet to come..." in atleast the 13th race of the season....And Jean Todd can stick his @ss for partnership with Bridgestone and that Malaysian model...Ferrari desperately need a playing field to prove they are the best...And they arent going to get it by pushing a racing car with hands....hmm...on hindsight, with the 22 mechanics pushin it, it might be just a bit faster than what's at present.... Whether Schumi gets humbled by Alonso or beaten fair and square by Raikkonen will cause immense pain but still far lesser than getting screwed by some squashed up Japanese sushi! Whatever Ross Brawn can cook up with his mastermind during the race, he will still be bloody eyed seeing his genius blow up in thin air.... Ferrari are still the very best....Bridgestone tyres lest....And they can forget their Championship quest...Italians swear by their partners in business, but whats the use if the partners arent responding to the challenges and screwin up ur lives? And with 2006 looking at a one-tyre championship and Michelin supplying 7 of the top 8 teams, there is a definite indication that Ferrari have to switch to the French tyre at some point of time...why not at the earliest? This brings me to the point of "history repeats itself".
Ferrari were the last of the top 8 teams to switch from Goodyear tyres to Bridgestone tyres at the end of 1997, and Bridgestone tyres were used in the one-tyre championship in 1998.
Ferrari tyres always blow up at the first turn while McLaren's tyres always screw up at the last turn leading to the pits...(I think I have blogged abt this before...one more example...)
Michael Schumacher always has not one but a pair of problems in the race, whenever he has problems...
eg:
Suzuka 1998 - Stalled start and blown tyre - guess where!
Germany 2001 - Tyre blowout, Suspension loss
Austria 2002 - Fire in the pits and front wing loss
Germany 2003 - Refueller problem and tyre blowout - guess where!
Shanghai 2004 - Two spins in the race at the same turn, highly unlike Schumi...
Barcelona 2005 - Two seperate blown tyres - guess where!
How blady true! This is apart from the 1996 season where bits of Ferrari car delighted fans at almost every race. He has overcome everything and put in the performance over the last 14 years with a consistency like none other! His teammate is often considered as playing second fiddle to him and so , he doesnt have real competition...but out of the 218 GP starts and 138 podiums, his teammate has finished one position below him on 18 occasions.... Which were all 1-2s except one in Austria 2001 (2-3). How can you explain the other 200 GPs and 120 podiums(60%) and 1196 points (5.49 points per race), even if we assume his teammate gifted him those 18 times? He deserves my adulations for just his driving skills and unmatched car control, even in a car which doesnt perform well...how ever people might view them or criticise them. He IS the best driver out there by miles. He is still one of the only two drivers fast both in and out of a corner (the other being Raikkonen).
Some interesting facts from this race:
Only Ferrari powered tyres blew...(Ferrari and Sauber)
Alonso is the only guy to finish all races this year and has finished on the podium every race till now this season.
Stunning drive by Giancarlo Fisichella...ending in the fastest lap on the last lap.
Another commendable consistent drive by Trulli.
Overdriving from Narain - The only time his teammate has beaten him on track when they have finished the race.
Montoya, Barrichello, Heidfeld and Monteiro were the only people to overtake on track.
Some predictions for the end of the season:
Look out for the first Ferrari win of the season in Canada.
Fisichella will outplay Alonso in terms of results in the latter half(may not be the overall points haul).
Toyota going to be the best of the rest (4th)
Raikkonen will humble Montoya by more than twice the points haul
Just wondering....
Im still curious about how it will be if Schumi drove for Minardi after the end of his career...just a test run will do....a world of difference to the perception of what it takes to be a driver of his class....although knowing what I do about Schumi, he wouldnt do it...
Looking forward to stunning drives from Schumi for the rest of the season. For those of you who care a penny for this, watch F1 for the sheer pleasure of his drive this year...This is going to be the second best season for him in terms of his driving....(after 1996). Its often said the public mindset is fragile but a hardened fan's passion is shown when his team/driver doesnt do well, and right now, all I can do is pray for a brilliant Schumi fightback. Schumi sure rox as he breaks the clocks!
