I have always maintained that decisions are what shapes our lives, and sometimes, it screws it. I made a decision a month back, which really has been for the worse.
But there are valuable lessons I learnt:
1. You are only as good as ur boss lets u to be...and I have learnt it the hard way.
2. Managers are leeches is probably an understatement. Probably they are the only ones who can state "Dont work 24 hrs and become tired. Work only 8, but finish off the work the 4 guys were supposed to do."
3. Working on the trot doesnt mean you deserve a break. Especially when u r caught in a legal mire.
4. Nothing hurts more than being away from the ones u love...
5. Capability in business terms is defined as the amount of work you can extract from other persons to do YOUR job.
6. Dont try to be honest to your boss. Thats the WORST thing u can do! After all, they are paid to exploit you!
7. Ironically, the worst prepares you to be the best managers. The day you learn to trade off ur kids for money, nothing can stop you!
8. There is even honour among thieves. Charactererised by selfish greed, honour (to clients, customers, colleagues, subordinates) doesnt exist in a manager's dictionary, but laced around in the vocabulary.
9. Only 28% IT Projects are a success. I know what it takes...for a failure to become a massive failure (a capable boss ofcourse)
10. If life is sweet all the time, you are not enjoying it enuf :)

agree with 10.....mixed bag of tastefulness makes life more relishing and satisfying!!!
Hahaha another good list (apart from dilbert) I came across after a long time- nice and realistic points!
