Sabhaash, seriyana potti !!!

Ensoy the fight going on in Wipro, Blore.
A desperate attempt to keep afloat in the torrential rains I guess ;)

Happy Diwali

Its a Festival of Lights,
Which brings you peace and delight.
It signifies that evil has gone out of the sight,
After the good has won the final fight.

History says, Narakasura the Demon,
Tortured the Earth and Heaven,
Lord Krishna destroyed the Evil Men,
It is this precious day that the war was won.

So, Enjoy the Festival with Happiness and Prosperity.
Burn the crackers with adequate safety.
Wish Your Near and Dear with the mind of purity.
Enjoy the Festival's Every Event and Activity.

- Srinidhi Soundararajan

Indeed a Festival of Lights,
But is there peace and delight?
Look at the world around you
People at peace are quite a few.

Warring countries waging nation
For how long will this go on?
Will it ever come to an end?
A question for you my friend.

Evil men are still around,
Demons Rakshasas all are found.
In our midst right to the core
Not just in stories any more

Will God come down once again?
To save us from this world insane.
If not let us all decide now
We will bring peace somehow.

We can’t stop the wars as whole
But can’t we play a simple role?
Let us spread the message of peace
And practice what we preach

Celebrate the festival of lights
Love your enemy, it gives delight
Learn from the lamp thats close
If you give more its never a lose.

- Milton John

Festival of Light
Bring about peace and delight
Not for the souls who want to fight
But for the common man whose heart it might

Rupture with the roar of a firecracker
Bringing a smile to the onlooker
Dont compare it with terrorists and attacker
Cos politics is akin to a game of snooker

Where playing the ball into the hollow minds of men
Might increase the count of world wars to ten
Alas, wars are something thats precipitated to you
That is triggered by an invisible que

That creates warring nations from peaceful neighbours
In a passive person, jihadi it harbours
Evil men are around, but these festivals bind
People together in joy and fun, and where else can you find

Rich and Poor, irrespective of power and wealth
Sharing and enjoying, together as one- living
Far apart from the world of blood and stealth
Drop down to the reality of this country in which giving

Is emphasised more than saving
Where joy is spread, not by having
Dollars in your wallet, but in gratitude
That you accumulate through your sharing attitude

We cant stop the wars overnight
But this festival gives you an insight
That something binds us within
That you have ignored herein

India is a country of a billion
Where it is a celebration of life
Its rich heritage provides a medallion
That makes you enjoy even in your strife.

Unity in Diversity
Is something that you neednt read in the university
Just look around you and you will realise
Happy faces beaming like winning a KBC prize

On seeing the new moon night
Being torn apart by colorful light
Leaving all and sundry in absolute awe
Stunned and delighted by what they saw

Money aint a priority on this day
And the preceding night, I should say
Burst all you may, those who have cash
Like the phoenix, several happy faces rise from the ash

This is something
That makes everything
That you are receiving
A really beautiful thing!

So enjoy it while you can
Dont grudge for all the miseries around
Learn to be a complete man
And burst a cracker on the ground!
